In perioada 16 februarie – 20 martie, gazduim expozitia „Inefabilul artei bijutierului Marian Nacu”, ocazie cu care puteti cumpara bijuterii ce poarta semnatura NACU, mai ales ca avem in fata noastra inca trei ocazii speciale – Dragobetele, 1 martie si 8 martie.
And because I saw that you liked the story of Constantin N. Vasiliu Bolnavu from Ploiesti, about which you could read here, today we tell you about another famous Ploiesti resident. This time - an artist; and famous more in the wide world than in his country.
Marian Nacu, therefore, was born in Ploiesti, in 1948. His father, a geologist by profession, often took him on his travels and made him love the stones and try to find out as much as possible about them. A detail, you could say, but a detail that will have its undeniable importance in becoming an artist.
In 1978 il regasim pe Marian Nacu ca proaspat absolvent al Institutului de Arta „Nicolae Grigorescu” din Bucuresti, sectia Design – sticla, metal si ceramica.
From 1980 to the present he participates in most national and international exhibitions of decorative or fashion art (jewelry collections), receives numerous awards - attestation of his artistic value and has countless personal exhibitions and presentations of collections - many of these events being exclusive or even private.
His first personal exhibition takes place in 1982 at the Hanul cu Tei Gallery and since then the jewelry and decorative art objects signed by NACU have been around the world, most of them currently being in private collections in countries such as: France, USA, Cyprus , Greece, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Israel, England, Australia, Egypt, South Africa, Brazil, Japan, New Zealand, Italy, Switzerland, Venezuela, Lebanon, Portugal.
This time, the official opening of the exhibition was different. Without formalizing ourselves, we introduced those who crossed our threshold for the first time to those who regularly come to our events and we all sat around Marian Nacu listening to him, because we have to tell you that, beyond his quality as an artist, he is a character with a quiver full of wonderful stories.
