The first painting exhibition of the artist Kira Hagi, which opens on Monday, September 23, at Alexandra's Gallery, had its opening last night. Along with the young painter came the regular clients of the Gallery, but also personalities from the sports and artistic and business world in Romania, such as Gica Popescu, Dan Bartos, Camelia Sucu.

Born in Barcelona in 1996, Kira Hagi studied Art at the International British School of Bucharest (IBSB) and graduated from CIE Advanced Level Art & Design in 2014, when she received a scholarship to the New York Film Academy. Three years later he graduated in Acting for Film. Moving away from the stable universe of the family was an opportunity to discover communication skills that he did not know he had, but also the ability to manage on his own in a field he knew too little about, at 18 years old.

“Some colleagues called on me to make storyboards for the productions I was working on. Of course, it would have been easy for them to do them on the computer, but they noticed in me an obsession with details that helped them see the big picture better. Los Angeles is my most creative period so far, I did dozens of paintings a week and only when I returned home did I realize that most were related to my roots and in them appeared, in various forms, some houses more or less stylized. For me it was a form of therapy that helped me survive the longing. In fact, when I had to name my works, I realized that I would call them all DOR ", says Kira.
Kira Hagi's paintings are already in private collections, thanks to some interior designers who started to propose them in their arrangements. The collection that is the subject of this opening is composed of works created between 2014 and 2019, divided into two themes: “Uprooting” and “Experiment”. The “Uprooting” collection brings together the most significant works of the period spent in the USA, while “Experiment” is a collection that appeared as a result of the meeting with the director Toma Enache and receiving a role in the film “Between Chin and Amen . Last year's filming period and the disturbing information that Kira found out about the Pitesti Experiment had a great impact on the young artist, who learned to express herself through art and thus express her feelings.
