A brass lamp with leather lampshade and silk cord, which can spectacularly decorate a manager's office or a luxurious residence.

Home lighting systems have changed tremendously throughout history. Before 1800 the light sources used in homes were torches, candles or lamps. They were smoking, there was a high risk of fire and the light was very dim. As new technologies were discovered, these lamps began to become more elaborate and efficient, becoming a symbol of wealth and social status. The materials from which they were made have changed, from stone to shells, clay, bronze, iron and finally steel or precious metals. Candles began to be used around 3000 BC. Seoul was replaced by wax in the 17th and 18th centuries. The manufacture of electric lamps and lamps began in the period following the discovery of the incandescent bulb.

Brass is one of the oldest alloys discovered by man and since ancient times has been used especially for making decorative objects, vessels, wind musical instruments and jewelry. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc in various proportions, golden-yellow, malleable, ductile, easy to process. Yellow brass can contain up to 80% copper. Brass resembles gold and has become very popular.
