"Catalin decently refuses the slight temptation. He uses his own poetic fantasy, a cleverly and systematically falsified fantasy of years of successful reconversion essays. Catalin has valuable experience in the public forum and has a substantial portfolio that attests to the originality of his sculptural vision. It can reshape spectacular archetypal motifs. These qualities place him unequivocally in the post-Brancusi patrimony, next to Zadkine, Boccioni, Lipchitz, Moore, Botero ”. (art critic Corneliu Antim).
“The artist Cătălin Geană, whose metal sculptures cross the traditional ways of figurative representation with renewed interest, reflects a deliberately reminiscent aesthetic of the ancient Harkening civilization. Geana instills in the works a distinctly modern ideology, and here we find the desire to honor and reevaluate the accepted standards of artistic understanding. Geana's work presents itself as a violation of tradition, a refusal to consent to what has already been established ”(Art Critic Beers Lambert - London 2013)
