Ștefan Popescu (1872-1948, Bucharest) was a painter, draftsman, engraver. He studied at the Academy of Arts in Munich and at the Academy of Arts in Paris. Honorary member of the Romanian Academy. He is one of the reference engravers in Romanian art, his works representing a landmark in the development of easel graphics and engraving in Romania. Known as Stefan Popesco in France.
