Of course, only by a miracle could a place as blessed as Samburesti appear in the world. With its back protected from the dangers of the times by the impregnable walls of the Carpathians and with the protective Olt, prostrate at its feet, Samburestiu stretches quietly over a miraculous and fruitful land. And it is clear that households have lived here since ancient times, since the name itself tells us that unseen orchards grew here. Samburesti has made history. His name appears in clocks since four hundred years ago and we find him in the possession of the great boyar, logopath, chronicler, diplomat and strategist Theodosie Rudeanu, the right hand of Mihai Viteazu. The clocks also tell us that wine has been made here since then, telling us about the subtleties of the function of cupbearer, since 1638. We find the estate, over the years, under vase masters: the grandson of Dan Danilovici, the great treasurer of to Matei Basarab, then Brancoveanu's son-in-law, and around 1800 we found it owned by the Bratians. But it took a dark period for Samburesti to finally become a legend. The era of "great accomplishments" after 1945, seasoned with shortages and scarcity, turned every bottle of Samburesti into a reward. Unjustly abandoned and thus condemned to oblivion in a majestic but distant past, only a memory remained from the vineyard of Samburesti, narrated from time to time, more and more rarely, by the local people. Once the most precious in everything The kingdom, equal to the famous Bordeaux liqueur, the taste of Samburesti wine could have remained only through the books of specialists from bygone times, caught in ink letters and related to adjectives. But times have changed. And the most precious fruits of the Samburesti bloom again today. Therefore, in Samburesti you will find not only the most famous international varieties, varieties for which Samburesti has gained fame, but also the oldest and noblest Romanian varieties.
